From traditional to contemporary services, MPC and our church plants
MPC Morning Services
We’ve got 2 services at MPC on Sunday mornings. Here’s a brief description of them.
Our most traditional service
Where: 40 Ruby Road, Mitchelton. When: 9am
With a mix of old and new hymns, and a reverent tone, members of this congregation are spread across a broad age range, with plenty of oldies and lots of new babies. The kids program is active and growing, though tends to be stronger in the younger age groups. The bible teaching program is the same in both morning services.View Map
A contemporary family service.
Where: 40 Ruby Road, Mitchelton. When: 1030am
In the second service, our music is more modern, with a full band, and the style is more relaxed. There’s a big bunch of families with school aged children, so Kids Church (our Sunday School program) and crèche are busy! People of all ages feel comfortable with the style of this service. The Bible Teaching content is the same as at the 9am service.View Map
MPC Evening Services
MPC services for teenagers and young adults
Where: 40 Ruby Road, Mitchelton When: 4:15 to 6:30pm
If you’re a teenager who’s keen to grow as a follower of Jesus, or even just keen to find out a bit more about Jesus, then Youthchurch is for you. Youthchurch meets from 4:15pm-6:30pm on Sundays during school term. It’s a fun and interactive way of being encouraged and encouraging each other through singing, praying, looking at the Bible, meeting in small groups, eating together while having lots of fun in the process.Visit Website
Where: 40 Ruby Road, Mitchelton When: 7pm
Launched in early 2004, Latechurch has an identity of its own. With café-style tables, subdued lighting and coffee available from the start of the service, this is a great service for winding down after a big weekend. It’s also a great place to bring friends who aren’t comfortable with traditional church. Music is minimal, with an opening item to listen to, and only one congregational song.Visit Website
Church Plant Services
Services happening in other locations
Where: Room 515, N Block, QUT, Kelvin Grove
Launched in mid 2009, Village Church was a plant from Latechurch. Meeting in a lecture theatre at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Kelvin Grove, we’re looking to build a community that displays and brings Jesus to Kelvin Grove Urban Village and surrounds.
We meet in Room 515, N Block at QUT Kelvin Grove each Sunday at 5pm. Come and check us out.Visit Website
Where: Eatons Hill State School, Main Hall
When: 9:30am & 6:30pm
Meeting at Eatons Hill State School, Eatons Hill Presbyterian consists of young parents, children, teenagers, grandparents, professionals, students – a range of people with a diverse and different backgrounds. Because Eatons Hill Presbyterian meets at a school, it may not look like a traditional church but we think that’s OK! We want to have a focus on those things that truly make up a church family – real relationships, caring for each other and examining the bible together so that we can better know Jesus.
The Sunday morning service is at 930am and our new night congregation ‘Lost&Found’ is at 630pm. For more information contact Garnet on 0402 114 141.Visit Website
